There are some things worth considering before you buy a printer. As there are many printers available on the market, one can feel overwhelmed with its choice. These are the things to consider before buying a printer:

  • Cost of cartridges and toners for this particular printer.
  • Speed, which is have many pages per minute it will print.
  • DPI (dots per inch) – the higher, the better the quality of printing.
  • Whether it has double sided printing or not.
  • Connection type – try to make it compatible with your computer. The most popular connection type is USB.
  • Warranty and for how long it will last.
  • Check if your printers has the possibility to be used by many users.
  • Check how much paper a tray will hold. The more the better of course but this will convert into a higher price.
  • Don’t spend a fortune, because eventually printers become outdated anyway.
