Second Life
August 22nd, 2008 | by MeridianGuy |Second Life is an online game. Second Life’s currency is the Linden Dollar and is exchangeable for US dollars in a marketplace consisting of residents, Linden Lab and real life companies. As of August 2008, L$ 265 were exchangeable for 1 USD. Records indicate that a small percentage of players derive net incomes from this economy, ranging from a few hundred to several thousand USD per month, while a larger percentage derive a gross income large enough to offset most of their expenditures in L$. While this game might attract people to earn money, there is also a group of players that spend money playing this game – if they do not earn enough money to offset the expenses they will loose real money.
Would I recommend this way of earning additional income to everyone? Well, I would probably not, but it might be worth a try, especially for people who have interest in playing online games or who spend a lot of time chatting online. What do you think, will such opportunities become more and more popular in the future?
